The Sculpture Forum

On the initiative of Peter Schwenk over the past years a small sculpture park has taken root nearly imperceptible in the immediate vicinity of the market.

Each year caps will be installed onto 35 pollards on which scupltures will be displayed. Thus utilizing every free space to display bigger sculptures. Even sculptors not participating in the market get the opportunity to present their works.

The initiative Sculpture Forum targets both the spacial expansion and the increase in artistic facet of the Schwabing Christmas Artist’s Market.

Opening hours

From market start to to Dezember 24th.

The Sculpture Forum shares its opening hours with the Schwabing Christmas Market.

Daily: From Noon to 8.30 pm
Saturday and Sunday: From 11 am to 8.30 pm
On Dezember 24th: From 11 am to 2 pm

The Sculpture Forum is located in the southern area of the market towards the subway exit Münchner Freiheit, cf. plan of stalls.
