The Art Tent

The Art Tent was founded by Peter Huf in 1994 and was ever since directed by himself.

The idea behind the Art Tent is giving participating artists an opportunity to escape from the tightness of their booth and to display bigger works together with colleagues. Even artists not participating the Schwabing Christmas Market get the opportunity to introduce themselves. Thus we - the Schwabing Christmas Market - are receiving external impulses.

Each year the Art Tent is a big success, a unique event in a unique artist’s and artisan’s market. It proves time and time again that very a interesting, fresh, and over and over surprising exhibition can sprout without a judging panel.

For more than thirty years artists and artisans present their works on the Schwabing Christmas Market. The Art Tent is part of the Schwabing Christmas Market for years. More than twenty artists - painters, sculptors, object artists, and conceptual artists - display their works.

From market start to to Dezember 24th

Daily: From Noon to 8.30 pm
Saturday and Sunday: From 11 am to 8.30 pm
On Dezember 24th: From 11 am to 2 pm
